Savings Compact Fluorescents
For Iluminet • Aug 24, 2008 • Section: Features, Multimedia, SustainabilityAn interesting educational video on the savings to be achieved by the use of compact fluorescent lamps, CFLs. This type of production, "In Plain English" has earned him an important recognition of the company Comnocraft, creators of this innovative style of communication.
It is noteworthy that the revised version was shared as in the original version of this video (here the league, which includes Spanish translation, the Revised-has not yet been translated-) did not mention that this type of lamps, which certainly are beneficial to the environment by saving energy, have mercury that is polluting, so they should manage to dispose properly.
After watching the campaigns and efforts of organizations and governments of developed countries in this regard, we wonder how long it will take us in Latin America to achieve a significant change in replacing incandescent lamps by CFLs? Moreover, while in Europe and the United States are already working on the proper disposal of CFLs (do not forget that contain mercury) How much more will take us to take this step? To finish with these futuristic speculation How long that will take the LED technology is accessible to consumers and common non-specialist?
Surely these topics will be players in what we see ahead of the lighting business. We hope your comments.
