Siemens to merge Mexico with OSRAM Sylvania

Componentes Electrónicos con OSRAM , hecho que se hará valido el 1 de enero de 2009. According to an article published in The Weekly Unlimited, daily e-business, economics and politics, dated August 15, the Mexican subsidiary of German corporate Siemens started the process to merge its unit Sylvania Electronic Components with OSRAM, a fact which will be valid on 1 January 2009.

At the end of 2007 the total assets of Sylvania Electronic Components were 93.5 million pesos (9.2 million dollars), with a capital of 6.3 million pesos; meanwhile, OSRAM had total assets of 957.5 million pesos (94.2 million dollars).
